TRAINING ACTIVITY

Cooperation
Main focus of Coopcamp is the cooperative enterprise as an ethical alternative to other forms of entrepreneurship.
gamified approach
Coopcamp uses gamification techniques to help pupils and students to develop capabilities in the field of cooperation.
The Coopcamp project
Coopcamp is a project funded by the European Commission – DG Grow and promoted by REVES, the “European Network of Cities & Region for Social Economy”, in collaboration with 13 partners from 5 different European countries. The project aims to promote the values and culture of the cooperative enterprise.
Coopcamp project
A training tool for cooperation
Coopcamp seeks to improve knowledge about the cooperative enterprise model and related competences among high-school students, with a particular attention to students from scientific and technical schools. In particular, young students should be put in a position to understand the peculiarities of the cooperative enterprise model and how to set up and manage a cooperative.
Indeed, the cooperative model is rarely a “first choice” for youngsters – even for those holding relevant technical skills and competences. Increasingly, youngsters access rather precarious forms of employment and join cooperatives only as a last choice, in the event of industrial crisis. Yet, the cooperative enterprise model is particularly suitable for youngsters, as it focuses on personal capabilities rather than the availability of capital.
